An independent, peer led ND women's social group (18+). Run by and for neurodivergent women. Friendly, judgement free space. Relax with mindful art, crafts, sensory friendly activities and refreshments. The Living Room offers a comfortable and brave space to be yourself and unmask with like minded women. Intersectional and accessible, this space is signposted to and supported by local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) partners and statutory services.
SHE Creates Anyway is a free to access arts for health programme carefully designed and built for autistic and neurodivergent women, offering a range of different weekly activities where women can connect, heal and nourish over creative mini projects focusing on the community aspect and self care not the perfect finish. When neurodivergent women come together they feel they are not alone or 'different' but have something unique and inspiring to bring to the world. Relationships and community are formed when people feel safe to be themselves in a non judgemental environment where they are celebrated and encouraged. Weekly themes are centred around calendar events, and themes of inclusivity and empowerment for women and girls. SHE Creates Anyway was launched to encourage women to take a pause, and create anyway.
We organise and deliver wellbeing and health focused events to centre and connect neurodivergent voices, particularly carers, who are so often unheard and unseen. Creating inclusive spaces where neurodivergent voices lead the conversation without interruption encourages the safe/brave sharing of lived experience, expert by experience led ideas and builds community, reducing isolation and health inequality. Everything we do is built together, helping people to live well and unlock their individual potential however that looks to them.
